REMARKS

Bow and stern lines are required on all tows and light boats over 80 feet. Captains are requested to have their radars on stand-by when locking through. Barges are required to have bumpers on entry and exit. All vessels are required to have deckhands on head of vessels or tow at all times while entering, locking through and exiting the lock chamber. All persons on open deck of vessel, barge, open outboard, etc. are required to wear Coast Guard approved life jacket and have it securely fastened while approaching and exiting lock.
